Malacanang Declared November 7 as Special Non-Working Holiday!

Last week, Malacanang declared October 31st as a special non-working holiday. This declaration was for the benefits of Filipinos to have enough time traveling to their provinces and to spend a long weekend in preparation for the coming "All Saints Day" on November 1st, Tuesday, which is also a special non-working holiday.

Meanwhile, another special non-working holiday was announced by the Palace of the President in due of respecting the religion of Islam. On November 7, Filipino Muslims will be celebrating their religious holiday "Eid'l Adha". This worldwide celebration is a "Festival of Sacrifice" or "Greater Eid" which according to Yahoo Philippines is "a commemoration of the willingness of Abraham to sacrifice his son Ishmael". Of course, this is according to Muslim's beliefs. (Which is different from what the Bible says. For in the Bible, the true Word of God, Isaac was the one to be sacrificed, the reason to test Abraham about his faith in God, such that in the event of sacrificing his son was stopped by God Himself by sending His angel.)

Anyways, its good to know such information. =)
