Puerto Princesa's Subterranean River a Provisional Winner of New 7 Wonders of Nature!

The New Seven Wonders of the World Foundation, an official organization that declares 7 of the most top beautiful and amazing places in the world, has brought good news to the Philippines! Yes, our very own Underground River in Puerto Princesa, Palawan was declared by the aforementioned foundation to be included as one of the provisional winners in the search for the new seven wonders of nature. Selections of the new seven wonders of the world were done through casting of votes online. The voting had just ended last November 11, 2011.

This recognition given to the Philippines is one prestigious award that will put Puerto Princesa as one of the beautiful places in the world! The remarkable beauty of the Underground River is only one of the many beautiful places here in the Philippines! 

However, the New Seven Wonders Foundation has clarified that the announcement was not yet final. The results may still change. They said "it is possible that there will be changes between the above provisional winners and the eventual finally confirmed winners." The foundation added that calculation of votes are still being checked, validated and independently verified. The official declaration of the new seven wonders will be announced early 2012.

Komodo Island in Indonesian

Boracay Island, Declared as the Fourth World's Best Island!

The island of Boracay, located in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines, was named as the top four best island of the world in a survey conducted by the US travel magazine Travel and Leisure!

Travel and Leisure Magazine announces the category as the World's Best Island in its World's Best 2011 Awards which is to be published this coming July 22, 2011. The prestigious award was based on thousands of votes coming from Travel and Leisure's readers. This great title definitely says it all that the Philippines is considered and well-recognized by foreigners as one of the world's best and beautiful place for travel. 

The Philippine archipelago is rich and full of natural resources. Composed of 7,107 islands, the Philippines has many beautiful places to offer. And one of this is Boracay Island.
