You might think that hackers won't have any logic in figuring up your password, well according to statistics, that's not the case. As a matter of fact, the word "Password" tops the list of passwords that are commonly used in the internet (as compiled by password management application provider SpashData).

By inputting commonly used passwords, hackers can then easily get the information they need, may it be your email accounts, social networking accounts or much worse, you bank accounts. Hackers can easily steal your identity and use your accounts in any way they please if the password you're using is very fragile.

The following are the list of words commonly used by people as their password/s. Maybe your using one (hope not).

So how do you choose a secure password to protect yourself? Well, here are the following tips to know when creating one.

1. Don't use any word that may have any personal relation to you such as your name, birthdate, age, address, or anything that can attached in relation to your identity.
2. Make your password 8 or more characters long.
3. When choosing, avoid using words that have only one variety or type and try using as many special characters, numbers and letters as possible and mixing them all up. Example of a weak password: "dashboard", why not make it like this: "D@5hb0aRd"
4. Avoid using the same password in other internet accounts. Always avoid using your email password to other accounts such as facebook or twitter.

Identity and online theft is common in the internet world today, and so it's good to have a strong, secure and well-protected password to avoid being a victim of hackers.
