Communications in early times were very burdensome, thanks to the advancement of technology, sending messages is as easy as just clicking buttons on your cellphones or computers. Being connected with your friends and relatives are very easy with the help of emails. Sharing your views and opinions with other people on the web gives you the ability to be creative and to have the freedom of expressing yourself, just like the many online social networking sites we know. Information can also be acquired instantly by just typing what you're looking for on the search box and clicking the search button. Whew! I believe you can name many things yourself!
You might not like what I'm about to say but being hooked up too much on gadgets and different online social networking sites can be stressful. Yup, I'm guilty of it as well. I believe its time to minimize the habit. Thanks to the article I've read that warns us about this fact.

According to a new research, one out of three people confessed that they are overwhelmed of the latest gadgets and online gimmicks on the web. Based on the study done by the University of Cambridge, 1300 people in United Kingdom (UK) revealed that being stressful on gadgets and online communication technology can lead to dissatisfaction in life. The study showed that even young tech users are prone to such feelings. About 38% of study participants of ages 10 to 18 had experienced dissatisfaction compared to 34% of young adults from ages 25 to 34.
This report supported some claims this year that Facebook and other social networking sites can create some feelings of depression. The Stanford University researchers in UK explained that this feeling of depression was inflicted to some because of the fact that people tend to publish only their good moments/events in their lives, views and photos, while concealing their bad ones. In addition, comparison of such moments to other online users can lead to jealousy and disappointments.
But don't worry, there are ways proposed in order to avoid such negative feelings accompanied by too much technology in our lives. These steps will control our habit.
1. Turn-off devices/gadgets for short periods of time.
2. Leave cellphones and PDA (Personal Digital Assistant, like palm top computer, I-Pad, etc) at home once a week.
3. Put a limit on being online. Set a certain hour for checking emails for example.
4. Try something new other than being online
