First off, I would like to tell everyone who are reading this that there is a Greatest News that needs to be heard by the world! The term I'm referring to as "world" are the people living in this planet we called Earth. This Greatest News that I'm about to tell you will change your life. Do you want to know how? And why?
The Greatest News ever proclaimed to mankind is that God loves you, me and everyone in this world! Though you agree to me or not, please listen first before you close this window. God loves you even though you were not born in this world! How do I know that God loves me, you might ask? I know this because I've experienced it myself! And I want you, to experience and know God's love! Knowing God's love and having a personal relationship with Him is the greatest message that I can share to you right now! A message that has made history! A message that cost the lives of many people! A message that has been proclaimed since the beginning of the world! A message that will give you life! Eternal life! It is more precious than gold, silver and jewels! And this message had changed my life and the lives of others.
"For God so loved the world that He gave us His only begotten Son that whosoever believed in Him will not perish but have eternal life." -John 3:16-
I am quoting this message from the Bible (God's love letter to us). Aren't you glad in hearing that? You might have heard this message a thousand times, but may I ask you..have you paused and gave a little bit of your time and tried to ask and ponder what those words really meant? Please pause a while and reflect what does those words mean before continuing.
Why did God gave His Son? You might wonder. Can a loving Father gave His only Son for the sake of others?! That's absurd, you might say! But indeed it is my friend! God gave His Son Jesus Christ, who new no sin, to die on the cross on our behalf.
"God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God." -2nd Corinthians 5:21-
God in heaven is a righteous God and He who is righteous cannot allow a sinner to enter His kingdom. Those who can only come to God are those who never have sinned. Even with just one sin, God cannot allow that person to enter. But how can that be possible, you might ask? Surely no one would ever qualify and meet God's high standards! Yes! That's the point my friend! Because human as we are, we are all sinners! So how can I say and know that God loves us, while in the first place God won't allow us to enter His kingdom?
We know that God won't allow a sinful person to enter His kingdom. He only allows those who are righteous. And in order for us to be righteous, someone has to die on our behalf. Yes! Someone who is spotless, blameless and righteous. Someone who can carry the sins of the world. But who can provide the sacrifice?
"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." -Acts 4:12-
No one but only God. Yes, its true my friend. God gave the ultimate sacrifice to save mankind. His one and only beloved Son, Jesus Christ. Christ paid the debts of our sins on the cross. He died willingly on our behalf.
"God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us"-Romans 5:8-
"Christ died for our sins...He was buried...was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures...He appeared to Peter, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred...-1st Corinthians 15:3-6
And because Christ was raised from the dead, it means God has accepted the sacrifice of Jesus. And also, it would mean that God will accept those who accepted Jesus Christ as there personal Savior. Isn't that great news!?
Would you like to accept Christ as your personal Savior and be with Him and God throughout eternity? I believe so you do!
My friend, right now Jesus Christ is knocking at the door of your heart. He's waiting for you to open it and allow Him to enter. He loves you so much that He died for you.
"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me." -Revelation 3:20-
My friend, "....Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the time of salvation."
-2nd Corinthians 6:2-
My friend, if you wanted to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Savior, you can pray with me:
"Dear God, our great and loving heavenly Father, I humbly accept and confess before you that I'm a sinner. Thank you for giving Your beloved Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross in order for me to be saved. Thank you for your grace, mercy and love. Dear Jesus, thank you for giving your life willingly for me on the cross. I know I'm not worthy of such great love. Dear Jesus, please come into my heart and dwell within me. Mold me in your likeness. In Jesus name, Amen."
Congratulations! You are now a child of God! You may or may not feel anything after accepting the Lord but rest assured, God's word is true. The moment you received Christ by faith these things had happened:
1. Jesus Christ came in to your life. (Revelation 3:20)
2. Your past, present and future sins are forgiven. (Colossians 1:14)
3. You became a child of God (John 5:24)
4. You now have reconciliation with God. (2nd Corinthians 5:18)
There are many promises of God found in the Bible. Now that you're a Christian, all you have to do is claim God's promises. In order to know His promises, you must read His Word. Have a daily devotion to God early in the morning after waking up and before going to sleep in the evening. Talk to God through prayers and bring all your concerns to Him. Find a nearest local church in your area so that you'll grow in your Christian faith. Never neglect the fellowship of the believers. A burning coal taken out and separated from a heap of burning coals and left aside alone will die down. Its the same in our Christian life.
