Manny Pacquaio Fights Juan Manuel Marquez for the Third Time!

Only one week to go and the world will again witness our very own People's Champ Manny Pacquiao going toe-to-toe with Mexican stylist Juan Manuel Marquez for the third time! This is the fight that boxing fans around the world anticipates to be an exciting one compared to the previous two bouts of both boxers. Pacquiao and Marquez had this arch's rivalry fight going since the May 2004 match which ended in a controversial draw. Pacquiao knocked down Marquez 3 times in the first round but the Mexican fighter managed to hold on the punishment. Marquez endured the 12 round slug fest with Pacquiao and displayed the heart of a true warrior which made the judges decide for the match to be a draw. Both fighters despise the decisions as both claimed to have won.

Their second bout entitled: "Unfinished Business" were quite interesting and controversial as well. Last March 2008, the rematch between the two fighters were made. During the course of the match, it was a give and take battle between rounds. Both fighters won their own respective rounds. The fight was definitely dead even. But the Filipino Champ managed to pull off an amazing 10th round knock down to Marquez which definitely gave Pacquiao the edge in the eyes of two judges. The result was a controversial split decision in favor of Pacquiao. Of course, Juan Manuel Marquez didn't like the decision. Pacquiao was later asked after the fight if another possible rematch will happen. But the Filipino boxer declined and said that the fight is now finished. Manny said this because he's moving up on lightweight division to face David Diaz, which was in the undercard of the fight.

Well, it seemed like Pacquiao is wrong. The fight between him and Marquez is not finished yet and will happen next week (November 12, 2012) as both of them will slug it once again.
