Be Careful of Counterfeit New Peso Bills!

Just recently on the news, authorities have found out that many counterfeit versions of the Philippines' new peso bills are circulating together with the real ones. Although these bills are not yet fully circulated in the public, an average person, if not careful, might be a victim of such deception.

The authorities said that counterfeit versions of these bills includes P20, P50 and P100. They said that fake versions can easily be spotted because they looked like ordinary photocopies of the real bills.

The Central Bank of the Philippines however, strongly believes that the public can tell whether its real or not. The bank also added that genuine bills have various security features that is hard for a counterfeited bill to duplicate such as watermarks and security threads.
